Superstar Shahid Khan Afridi wrote an emotional post for her eldest daughter Aqsa who got married to Naseer Nasir on Friday.
Taking to Twitter after Aqsa's rukhsati event, Afridi wished the couple good luck for a new chapter in their life.
"Meri pyari beti- it seems like yesterday when I cradled you in my arms - and on that day, I promised myself I would never leave your side. Although you’re about to begin a new chapter in your life, you’ll always have my heart because I’m the man who loved you first. May Allah keep you both under His Divine protection and give you the chance to create a beautiful life together. Ameen," he wrote.
The star-studded rukhsati event of Aqsa was attended by the whole of Pakistan's Test squad who attended a four-day training camp in Karachi ahead of Sri Lanka tour.
Skipper Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Hassan Ali, Aamir Jamal and Shaheen Shah Afridi were present at the wedding.
Former cricketers like Moin Khan, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Akram and Waqar Younis also attended the wedding ceremony.
It must be noted here that Aqsa's Nikah took place on December 31 last year. Later on, in February 2023, cricketer Shaheen tied the knot with Afridi's second eldest daughter Ansha. The rukhsati of Shaheen will take place at the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Shaheen will be busy with the Pakistan team as after Sri Lanka Test tour, green shirts will participate in the Asia Cup and World Cup which is held in India in October-November this year.
